Graduating from Michigan University in 1964, Dan Romanelli joined Warner Bros. Theatrical division. Dan Romanelli is credited with founding Warner Bros. Worldwide Consumer Products division and transforming this small licensing enterprise into a multi-business powerhouse by surpassing $50 billion in worldwide retail sales over the course of two decades. With his innovative and creative leadership, Dan Romanelli created some of the most highly regarded entertainment franchises, such as Looney Tunes, Harry Potter, Batman, Superman, Scooby-Doo, and Hanna-Barbera.

In 1997, Chain Store Age magazine chose him as one of the Top 25 VIPs in the retail industry. In 1998, the Otis College of Art and Design honored him for his dedication in the entertainment retailing. In 2005, MIPCOM, the world’s leading assembly of television and audiovisual content, honored him with the 2005 Lifetime Achievement Award.
